Fabulous stories with Leicester Writers’ Club last night: a seashore denouement with Eddie and Jiggle; a squaddie from Afghanistan faces up to therapy; a 1905 Loughborough single-mother uncovers a baby-selling scandal at Mrs. Pagett’s; a desert woman meets the Cabinet-maker who builds ‘coffins for the living’; an amnesiac named Violet inhabits her Punk-Britain nostalgia – truly an evening of thrills and chills.
