Writing that Sparked Writers

All writers start by reading and falling in love with stories. Come to Leicester Writers’ Club and discover which stories sparked writers’ imaginations and started their journey to publication.

For Everybody’s Reading, four members will talk about and read from the stories that transformed them from readers to writers and sparked their journeys to publication. These may have been fairy tales, magical young adult fiction or fantasies that left them spellbound and stayed with them long after the book was closed.

Leicester Writers’ Club celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2018 and members include published and prize-winning authors in fiction, including science fiction and fantasy, romance, historical fiction and thrillers; poetry; children’s books; scripts and non-fiction. Some of whom have been translated into other languages and seen their work published outside the UK.
