Leicester Writers’ Club’s Hybrid Summer Open Evenings

7-9pm Thursdays, 6 July – 31 August 2023

Do you want:

  • constructive and professional feedback on your work-in-progress?
  • to meet other writers to discuss markets, writing tips and news?
  • to join a friendly group of professional and semi-professional writers?
  • all of the above?

Come along to Leicester Writers’ Club Summer Open Evenings where you can get a taster of how the club works, meet current members and decide whether the club is right for you. The club meets on Thursdays at Phoenix Square, 4 Midland Street, Leicester LE1 1TG, 7-9pm or contact the club for the Zoom link.

Leicester Writers’ Club

Club Members write poetry, novels, short stories, children’s fiction, non-fiction and screenplays. The Club’s main purpose is to provide a supportive environment for members to critique work-in-progress and to network for information on markets and opportunities. The Club also offers advanced masterclasses, a writing retreat, social and speaker events – usually talks from agents, editors or publishers. If you decide that the Club is for you, then you should email the website (www.leicesterwritersclub.com) a sample piece of writing up to 1000 words long or 3 poems of up to 40 lines each, to forward to the Club committee for consideration.
