Rosie Pierce at Leicester Writer’s Club

For the first speaker event of our new year, we will welcome the literary agent Rosie Pierce from Curtis Brown to Leicester Writers’ Club (Thursday 15th October 2026, from 7-9pm at Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre, Midland St, Leicester LE1 1TG.)

Rosie started her career working in editorial at an independent publisher in Edinburgh, before moving to London and joining Curtis Brown, one of the giants of the agenting world. Since joining, she has worked alongside super-agent Felicity Blunt on her list of talented authors, been a member on the Curtis Brown ‘Discoveries’ team and carefully built her own list of over forty clients. She is perfectly positioned to discuss the current landscape for authors in the ever-changing world of agents and publishers.

Rosie represents both literary and commercial fiction, as well as select non-fiction. She tells us she ‘is on the hunt for contemporary stories of love and friendship told with humour, heart and sizzling chemistry,’ and ‘loves working editorially with writers on their manuscript.’

This promises to be a very informative event for all those interested in professional publication.

Format for the evening will be an introductory interview hosted by Dave Martin, long-term club member and award-winning author of ‘The Typewriterists’, followed by Q&A.
