Over the last 15 years, Alex Davis has been an author, lecturer, tutor, workshop leader, reviewer, event organiser, desk editor, proofreader and copy editor in and around the East Midlands. In this talk, Alex will be talking openly about the unexpected twists and turns of his journey in writing, publishing and the creative industries, sharing practical advice on how to break into some of these exciting areas and some of the lessons – good and bad – learned along the way!
The session will be followed by questions from the audience.
Alex Davis is currently Literature Officer for Derby’s QUAD venue and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby, as well as a freelance tutor, proofreader and copy editor.
